How to install Lively Browser?
You can download the latest version of Lively Browser first. And then run the install all the same with any other windows application. Lively Browser doesn't need any other runtime environment.
What is tabbed mode and tree mode?
Lively Browser supports two browsing modes to surf in intenet, Tabbed mode and Tree mode(recommended).
Tabbed mode is a traditional mode to layout web pages one after another. For example, page A pop three pages(A.1, A.2, A.3), then A.1, A.2, A.3 will be shown as three sibling pages just after page A. Moreover, if page A.2 pop four pages(A.2.1, A.2.2, A.2.3, A.2.4), then these four pages will be shown as four sibling pages just after page A.3. As a result, you are now browsing 8 pages in a plane.
Tree mode is our original mode to layout the opening web pages just as a tree branches from its trunk. For example, page A pop three pages(A.1, A.2, A.3), then A.1, A.2, A.3 will be shown as three daughter pages just under page A. Moreover, if page A.2 pop four pages(A.2.1, A.2.2, A.2.3, A.2.4), then these four pages will be shown as four daughter pages just under page A.2. As a result, you are now browsing 8 pages in a tree.

Current Total Sites = 1,838,554 + 105*100 + 21*100 + 31*1000 + 100,000 = 2,082,154 > 2,000,000
Moreover, if you need to open many resources at the same time, it may occupy more then 256M RAM memory. So you need to modify following config file: C:\Program Files\Lively Browser\LivelyBrowser.ini. This file configures how much Lively Browser can use of your RAM memory. The default value of the max is 256M. If your computer has more then 512M RAM, you can modify it to:
-clean
-vmargs
-Xms128m
-Xmx512m
Does your software behave better with more than 256M RAM?
This is based on your usage. We have 2,082,154 sites in total. If you want to browse more sites at the same time, your computer might require additional RAM. However, the behavior is generally unaffected.
Does updating happen automatically when opening Lively Browser?
Yes, it does happen automatically when opening Lively Browser by default. However, our updates are generally on a weekly basis and at week-ends. So it is no need to search for updates every time lively browser is started. You can modify this option by: "Windows -> Preferences" in the main menu, and then you can find "Install/Update -> Automatic Updates" on the left.

Please try to right click on the webpage at somewhere blank and then change the webpage encoding. If this instruction doesn't work for you, maybe it will be necessary to install the relevant language pack from your Windows Install CD.
